1. 'Gyan - The Journal of Education' invites original research papers and thought provoking articles that address one or other aspects of discipline of education. The areas include, but not limited to educational philosophy, educational sociology, educational psychology, ICT in education, educational technology, vocational education, special education, educational computing, research methodology, distance education etc.
2. Manuscripts should not be more than 4000 words in normal course. It should be neatly typed in double space on one side of A4 size paper with ample margin to the left in MS word-2000.
3. The cover page of manuscript should contain title of the paper, followed by name (s) of author(s), designation, affiliation, e-mail, phone, fax with STD code and postal address. For the purpose of annonimity in review process, the name(s) of author(s) / affiliation should not be mentioned in the contribution elsewhere except coverpage of the manuscript.
4. Reference should be given alphabetically at the end of the manuscript in the following manner:
*Book:
Prakash, S. & Chowdhary, S. (1997). Expenditure on Educations: Thoery, Models and Growth, New Delhi, NIEPA.
*Journal:
Sarkar, C.(2004). Poverty, Education & Economic Development, University News, 42 (02), 05-07.
*Book Chapters:
Rao, A.V.R. (1995). Human Values in Organizations - An Attitudinal Exploration. In Chakraborty, S.K. (Ed); Human Values for Managers, New Delhi: Wheeler Publishing, 136 - 147.
*Seminar/Conference Papers:
Thamwipat, K. & Prasarn, A. (2004). Grade 12 Students' Opinion Towards Printed Media for Further Study in Bachelor Degree of a Local Institute in Thailand. A paper presented at International Conference on Fourth Wave Education, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, 10-12, January.
*Disseration/Thesis:
Sharma, A. (1987). Adoption and Innovation among Entrepreneurs, Unpublished Ph.D. Thesis, I.I.T., New Delhi.
5. Use percent instead of % throughout the text.
6. Tables, graphs, charts etc. must be typed in double space on separate page in numerical order. In the text, the reference for table should be mentioned as table -1, not as above table. Same should be followed in case of graphs and charts. Each table, graph and chart should have their own heading.
7. Author (s) should submit two hard copies as well as soft copy of manuscript. Electronic copy of the manuscript should be sent in MS Word-2000 format in 3.5 inch (1.44 MB) floppy diskette.
8. An abstract of the contribution (not more than 150 words), on a separate page should also be submitted.
9. A biographical note about the author(s) on separate sheet not exceeding 100 words, should also be submitted along with the manuscript.
10. A declaration is to be made by the author(s) that the paper is original, has not been published / submitted for publication elsewhere.
11. All the manuscripts received for publication will be reviewed by the review committee of the Journal. The manuscripts will be published only after the approval of the review committee. However, exceptions are available to those manuscripts, which are specially invited on some specific theme.
12. Book review will also be published in the Journal. The text of the book review should be typed neatly in double space on one side of A4 size paper. The book review must contain author(s) name, title of the book reviewed, ISBN, Publisher, year of publication, number of pages and price. The reviewer should submit his / her name, designation, affiliation, e-mail, phone, fax with STD code and the postal address on a separate sheet.
13. Gyan - The Journal of Education reserves the right to publish or not to publish any contribution submitted for publication without assigning any reason.
14. The author(s) will get complementary copy of the relevant issue of Gyan - The Journal of Education.
15. Advance Institute of Management, Ghaziabad will provide an honorarium of Rs. 1,000/-(Rs. One thousand only) to the first author of selected papers only.
16. Any change in the address should be intimated to the editor six weeks in advance.
17. There shall be two issues per volume i.e. January & July every year.
18. The contribution should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief, 'Gyan - The Journal of Education', Department of Education, Advance Institute of Management, II-A/16, Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad-201001 (U.P) India.
